YouTube Beauty vlogger Nikkie Comes Out as Transgender

Nikkie De Jager, the Dutch makeup artist, revealed the long-kept secret about her gender identity to 12.9 million followers on her YouTube Channel. On January 14, 2020, the 25-year-old makeup artist posted a 17-minute video on her channel NikkieTutorials titled "I'm Coming Out," where she revealed she is transgender.

The announcement of Nikkie being a trans was prompted by attempted blackmail to leak her story into the press. So, she took power in her hands instead and nailed it in the best way possible. The YouTube creator said in the video that she had always planned to tell her fans about herself, but was waiting for the right time. So, when some unknown person learned about her secret and threatened to share it on media without her consent, she came to the terms and shared her story.

In the tear-jerking video, Nikkie said she started hormone therapy when she was 14 years old. And by the time De Jager was 19, she had fully transitioned. She basically thanked her mother and teachers, who always supported her and accepted the person she is. The video is worth every minute with the waves of emotional segments. The popular beauty vlogger took the bold move to open up about the undisclosed part of her life with a candid video. Throughout the video, the Nikkie Tutorials mostly talked about how she didn't use to feel comfortable in the body she was born in and struggled throughout her childhood days.

The "I'm Coming Out" video topped the trending page on YouTube within 5 hours of posting with 5.5 Million views. She gets emotional as she shared her incredible story to her fans all over the planet. The makeup artist received lots of positive and supportive responses from her fans worldwide.

De Jager is actively posting makeup videos on Youtube for eleven years, with her first video on 29 June 2008. She has collaborated with numerous beauty brands over the years, including Maybelline, Too Faced, Ofra, etc., perks of being a renowned beauty vlogger.
